Bahen Atrium
The Bahen Atrium, located inside the Bahen Centre for Information Technology, is a spacious and light-filled venue in the heart of U of T’s downtown campus. Primarily home to the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Mathematics, this versatile space is perfect for event registration, trade shows, poster displays or information booths.
A Bright, Welcoming Space
Blending historic charm with modern design, the Atrium features a preserved exterior wall from the former Koffler Student Services Centre alongside sleek finishes that allow natural light to stream through. The Koffler building itself has a rich history: originally built in 1909 as Toronto’s Central Reference Library—the largest Carnegie library in Ontario—it became part of the university in 1977 and was later renamed in honour of Murray Koffler, founder of Shoppers Drug Mart.
The Atrium also extends outdoors, with a landscaped patio ideal for photos, mingling or a relaxed garden reception.
