At Campus Events & Conference Services (CECS), our mission is to enrich university life by creating opportunities for community connection and collaboration to thrive. Through proactive partnerships and a commitment to excellence, we help faculty, staff and students host events that leave a lasting impact.

What We Do
As the central hub for events on the St. George campus, our expert team at CECS works behind-the-scenes with clients and stakeholders to manage event logistics in venues and spaces across campus. As part of our daily operations, CECS:
- Operates two full-service conference facilities.
- Manages indoor and outdoor shared event spaces across campus.
- Provides expertise and services that simplify the event planning process.

Why It Matters
By coordinating live events, CECS reduces the stress of planning so faculty, researchers and department-level staff can focus on their groundbreaking work and developing meaningful connections with peers. In doing so, we strengthen U of T’s global reputation for collaboration, innovation and academic excellence.
We also play a critical role in ensuring that high-profile and community events run seamlessly—while safeguarding the university’s core mission of teaching and research.
